"How does billing my insurance for psychotherapy work?" 

My biller handles billing with insurance companies I am in network with (see above), as well as those I am not in network with that allow out of network billing.  

Prior to meeting with me, please look into the status of your deductible for mental health services, because you may need to spend your deductible prior to your insurance company paying for our sessions.  Also, please find out whether you will have a copay or coinsurance for mental health services, also called behavioral health by insurance companies, and what the amount will be each session, so you know if it will be manageable for you.

"How do video appointments work?"

I can provide psychotherapy via secure online video appointments to people in the state where I am licensed: Montana.  You can access our video appointments via my client portal.  Please check with your insurance company to see if they cover telehealth sessions if you are planning to use insurance to pay for sessions.

"Do you see couples?"

No.  My counseling psychotherapy practice is focused on individual adults and adolescents.  It is beneficial to have the support of individual therapy while you are in couples counseling, however, and I help many individual clients clarify what they want to address in their couples sessions, and process what comes up in those sessions.
